Infopackets Blogosphere
Today's issue of the Gazette is a series of very important announcements.
Let me begin by telling you what's been happening in my life. I don't normally write about personal stuff, but this circumstance is different because it directly affects infopackets.com.
At any rate, here goes:
As of November 2nd, 2005, I finalized the deal on my new home. Prior to the 2nd (and beginning October 20th), I was running around like mad trying to get everything settled -- such as: meeting with the builder regularly, the bank, the lawyers, and making tons of phone calls to service providers. All of this running around ate up a great deal of my time, and unfortunately, I was not able to submit any articles for a week and a half. I didn't -- and still haven't! -- had time to read all of my emails. My apologies if you're still waiting for a response (there are close to 100 emails in my Inbox right now).
All of this was very overwhelming and I soon became rather depressed.
But not all was lost!
The good news is that this temporary interruption is done and over with and I'm (very!) happy to have moved into my new home. The bad news is that I still don't have a telephone hooked up, there is no TV (cable or satellite), and there is no Internet service to my house. On the bright side of things, I do have a spotty WiFi [wireless Internet access] connection emanating from my mother's house, which happens to be located directly across the street from my new home (thanks Mom!).
And, although I was too distressed to submit new articles during my recent misadventure, I did manage to finalize the blogging project that I've been working on since this past mid September [details here] ... which also happens to be part of the "big picture" project I started back in December 2004 (it was a *lot* of work!).
RE: Infopackets Blogosphere
As of yesterday, I am very pleased to announce that the infopackets blogosphere has officially opened its doors and we now have other authors publishing articles online our site. In case you missed the recent articles, you can view them on our home page -- and be sure to visit regularly to make sure you haven't missed any new articles!
Of course, there's a better way to keep track of all those articles that get published frequently through our web site rather than checking the home page periodically (Hint: the answer is an acronym called "RSS").
And so, that brings me to my next point. If you don't already have an RSS Reader installed on your system, you will definitely want to familiarize yourself with this wonderful 'news delivery service' technology. For those of you who have no clue how to install or use an RSS Reader: fear no more -- beginning this week or next week, I will be compiling a mini-tutorial on how to install an RSS Reader for our web site.
Until then!
