Twitter Truth Seekers to Label 'Misleading' Posts

Twitter is asking volunteers to add notes explaining why posts are misleading. It calls it a "community-driven approach to help address misleading information on Twitter." The company appears to believe that using volunteers will make it easier to ... address quickly-spreading misinformation rather than rely on paid staff. It says the project, dubbed Birdwatch, won't involve labeling posts as "true" or "false". It also won't involving hiding or removing any posts as already happens after staff review reports of users breaching the site's guidelines. Rupert Murdoch Takes On Google Via Twitter

The head of News Corp and conservative television network Fox News is calling on someone, anyone, to "expose" Internet giant Google. Rupert Murdoch made that request in a recent tweet. Sunday evening Murdoch had this to say via popular social ... networking site Twitter: "Please expose Eric Schmidt, Google etc. Just wait!" Anonymous Claims it Hacked 10M Sony Accounts

The international hacking group Anonymous claims it has bypassed Sony security and accessed the account details of ten million PlayStation Network (PSN) users. Sony, which actually did have millions of accounts compromised back in 2011, says this ... current claim is false. Anonymous used its own Twitter account to report the massive hack.
