You can use the Reading pane to very quickly go through your messages.
Follow the steps below:
- Click the Mail or Folder List button on the Navigation pane and click the Unread Messages search folder.
- If you cannot see the contents of a message when you click its entry in the message list, click the Reading Pane button. Using this pane lets you quickly scan any message without having to open it.
Follow these steps:
- Choose Tools | Options.
- Click the Other tab.
- Click the Reading Pane button to display the Reading Pane dialog box.
- Select Mark Item as Read When Selection Changes, to mark mail as read when you view it in the Preview pane.
- If you want to be able to skip over some messages and leave them marked as unread, only select Mark Items as Read when Viewed in the Reading Pane. Leave the wait time at least 5 seconds.
- You can use the spacebar to move through the contents of each message, one screen at a time.
- As you finish with each message, press CTRL + R to create a reply or CTRL + Shift +R, to reply to all.
- Press the Delete key to send the current message to the Deleted Items folder and move to the next message in the list.
