After you have completed a form template in MS Word, you can use it to fill in the blanks. You can also print the form and have folks fill it out with a pen or pencil. This makes it easier for whomever does the data entry to follow, because the printed form matches what they see on the screen.

Below is the easiest way to fill out a form and print the results.

  1. Click on File | New.

  2. Select the custom from template that you have created by selecting On my computer under Templates in the Task pane, which will open up the Template area and you can scroll to select your form there.

  3. Fill in each blank, pressing Tab to move from box to box.

  4. Print the completed form.

  5. Save the completed form, if you like, and then close without saving.

You now have a very attractive printed document with one person's unique information.

I'm sure you can think of many uses for this type of form.
