Hello. I have been using the program for many years, and it is definitely a good pocketbook choice for those who wish to pass on the financial strain from the purchase of Photoshop. But I feel a note should be added for those who may not pay very much attention to what they are installing in their computer. This software also installs Trovi, which in my world of computer repair, is a big No-No as it is almost worse than a virus to get completely off a computer since it goes into each browser and makes changes. It is not fair to the computer user who has to pay to have this software removed because they are not knowledgeable enough to do the task themselves.

I will give it to GIMP though that they do disclose on the bottom of the page what software will be installed and also the various instructions on how to remove all of the software that gets installed. This does not make what they do right, but it is better than not disclosing the information at all. I believe that a $5.00-$10.00 per download price tag would be acceptable to most users and would fund future development of the software without putting users computers at risk. IMHO ~ Rebecca
