Samsung Galaxy S4 Smartphone: iPhone Killer
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S4 smartphone may be one of the most anticipated non-Apple mobile devices, ever. Setting this smartphone apart: a unique camera system, global LTE roaming capabilities, a new scrolling feature, and impressive gaming support.
We recently reported on the Galaxy S4's ability to scroll around based on the movement of a user's eyes. But that's not all that's drawing attention to this device.
In fact, consumers are buzzing about the Galaxy S4 for many other reasons. For one, the new Galaxy will feature front- and rear-facing cameras that can be used at the exact same time.
Chat and Record Video at the Same Time
Why will this be useful?
It could allow a user to make a video call while also showing the person they're talking to what they're looking at. Imagine being at a concert and being able to show a friend back home what they're missing.
The feature will also allow users to take two photographs simultaneously.
According to reports, the Galaxy S4 will include a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 2-megapixel camera on the front. (Source: computerworld.com)
Includes Support for 4G LTE Connections
Also drawing buzz: the fact that the Galaxy S4 will come with support for global 4G LTE super-fast connections, allowing users to access download speeds of 100 megabits per second.
If it works as planned, that could make the Galaxy S4 the fastest smartphone, ever.
Helping Samsung deliver on that will be a beefy 1.9 GHz quad-core processor, though the firm says it may also offer a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor. Right now it's unclear which regions will receive the octa-core chip.
The Galaxy S4 could also be a favorite with gamers. Recently, the company showed off an Xbox 360-inspired peripheral that attaches directly to the upcoming smartphone.
The device ships with eight games and will reportedly be compatible with eighty Android titles upon its release. (Source: ign.com)
The Galaxy S4 smartphone is expected to launch in May 2013.
