Answers are below:

1. " What is Acronis True Image / Why should I care? "

In short, Acronis True Image is one of the few backup programs on the market that can actually backup MS Windows -- making it the perfect tool to use to migrate to Windows 7. You can even use True Image to clone your harddrive, which is *extremely* useful if you plan to upgrade to a larger harddrive.

2. " I clicked the link to get 25% off True Image 2010 but I don't see a place to enter the coupon code. Where do I input the coupon code at checkout? "

My apologies for this -- the discount is automatic when you click our link. There is no need to enter a coupon. Here are the discount links again:

  • 25% Off Full Version of Acronis True Image 2010 at $37.49 USD
  • Discounted Upgrade (for existing True Image Users) at $24.95 USD

Thanks for your support.

3. " Can I get a CD / DVD of Acronis True Image with my order? "

The special being offered is for a download-only version of Acronis True Image 2010 and does not include a CD or DVD. However, you can make a backup yourself using a CD, DVD, or USB-Pen drive: simply download the True Image .EXE (setup / executable file) to your desktop, then copy it to CD or DVD. Use the same file to install True Image to your machine.

4. " I want to upgrade from a my old 60GB harddrive to a new 1.5TB drive. How do I move the data over to the new drive (clone it)? "

Both drives need to be installed in your system. Once that's done, boot into Windows, then launch Open True Image 2010; go to Tools and Utilities menu on the left. Look under "utilities" heading and you will see the option for "clone disk." Click it and follow the directions.

5. " I have 3 PCs. Can I get more than 1 license of True Image? "

Yes: simply change the "quantity" at checkout to the desired number of licenses. Note that these will be discounted with our special offer.

The checkout / buy page is here:

  • 25% Off Full Version of Acronis True Image 2010 at $37.49 USD

We answered this in-depth already. Read this, then read this.

8. " Your articles RE: upgrading to Win7 speak of Windows XP but not from Vista to Win7. I use Vista. Can I use Acronis True Image on my Vista PC? "

Yes, absolutely. If you plan to do a Vista -> Win7 fresh install, by all means you can use the exact same method I described previously (which references Windows XP).

Read this to learn how to use Upgrade Media to fresh install Win7 using Vista, then read this.

9. " How do I download True Image after I make my order? "

An email with the download link to True Image 2010 will be sent to you when your purchase is completed. The email will also contain your registration code used to register the program. The buy links are:

  • 25% Off Full Version of Acronis True Image 2010 at $37.49 USD
  • Discounted Upgrade (for existing True Image Users) at $24.95 USD

All proceeds support our site. Thanks for your support!

10. " The full version of Acronis True Image 2010 with 25% discount is $37.49 and the upgrade only is $24.95 USD. However when I click the link on your web site, the price is neither $37.49 or $24.95. What gives? "

There are two possibilities here:

(a). For the price to be the exact same as what is on our web site, you must be viewing prices in USD (US Dollars). To get USD: click the buy link on infopackets.com; on the checkout page, select Currency using Pull Down menu from top of page and choose "USD." If you are a non-US resident, your card company will convert the charge for you automatically in your local currency. The card company exchange rate is almost always better than what is offered by the intermediary (card processing) company.

(b). If you've completed step #1 above and the prices are still different, you need to empty your shopping cart and then click on the buy now link on our page again. This should reset the price. To empty your shopping cart, enter "0" (zero) at the quantity for all items in the cart, then click the Update button. When the cart is empty, come back to infopackets.com and click our discount link again.

That's all for now.

Don't forget, this deal ends on Monday, December 21st @ 11:59PM EST. If you plan to upgrade to Windows 7 any time soon, you'll definitely want to snap this up.
